FAQs.
How is Rooted + Free different from a homeschool co-op or a private school?
Rooted + Free blends the best elements of both. We describe our model as outsourced homeschooling—families maintain the flexibility and individualized pacing of homeschooling, while students benefit from out-of-home learning, socialization, enrichment opportunities, and shared instructional support similar to a private school setting.

What grades + ages do you serve?
We offer thoughtfully designed, mixed-age programs for children ages 5–14, with our high school program launching in the 2026–2027 school year.

What are your school hours?
Our hours of operation are 9 am to 3 pm Monday-Friday, with drop-off beginning at 8:30 am. Families have the choice between a 2-day, 3-day, or 4-day model. The selected days remain the same week-to-week.

Do you offer before and after-care?
We do not offer before or after-school care. Drop-off is between 8:30 am & 9am. Pickup is promptly at 3 pm.

Are you a religious-based resource group?
While Rooted + Free is not a religious institution, if students participate in any online curriculum, parents may choose between faith-based and non-religious options.
